The Netherlands' biggest daily newspaper came to us with a simple question: why are so many Americans choosing the Netherlands specifically?

Jana talked through what she sees every day. Americans instinctively look for English-speaking countries when they start researching emigration. The problem is that Canada, the UK, and Ireland are genuinely difficult to get into. The Netherlands, meanwhile, is effectively English-speaking, has one of the most accessible visa pathways for American entrepreneurs anywhere in Europe, and keeps showing up on the shortlist for people who actually do their homework.

De Volkskrant is not a niche expat publication. It is one of the most widely read newspapers in the Netherlands, which means this piece was read by the Dutch public as much as by Americans planning a move. That kind of coverage matters for building GTFO's presence in the country where we actually operate.
